Their team are engaged on a number of rail projects throughout the UK. Their clients include Network Rail, Translink, Local Authorities and Contractors. Their current workload includes station remodelling and track improvements for projects such as North London Lines and modular stations. In Northern Ireland, they are currently working with Translink to modernise their network.

Essential Qualifications Chartered Engineer MIET MIMechE or equivalent professional institution BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering able to demonstrate significant experience of design and consultancy.
Essential Experience Design experience in electrical distribution, generation and utilisation, and/or building services including specification, site working and testing, asset acceptance & standards is required. REC interaction experience, HV/LV distribution and control and previous experience of design of mechanical service systems such as heating and ventilation, tanked and water systems is required. Successful candidates will have the following skills and experiences: • You will have acted in a position of seniority as a client liaison Checking and supervising the work of less experienced team members Domestic power and LV sub-distribution design –to BS7671: 2001and CIBSE publications Preparation of technical specifications and reports Competent use of Microstation v8 or AutoCAD 2004 Use of Amtech™ 2008 cable calculation software or similar Detailed working knowledge of the IEE wiring regulations (16th Edition) use of DiaLux lighting design software Experience of using Suretrack (Primavera P3) project planning software would be an advantage
Personal Characteristics The successful candidate will have experience in the design of railway infrastructure schemes such as bridges, stations or general civils works. Knowledge of advanced Project Management techniques and procedures, experience in managing teams is essential.
You will lead teams of engineers and technicians working on multi-disciplinary railway projects and experience of mentoring, coaching, staff development is also essential.
You will be responsible for supervising work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget. Ideally candidates will have experience of negotiating commercial, financial and contractual arrangements and experience of change management at project level.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills and client facing experience. |
