Our current workload includes station remodelling and track improvements for projects such as North London Lines and Reading station. In Northern Ireland, they are currently working with Translink to modernise their network.

Desirable Qualifications Member of ICE. Chartered Engineer BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering

Essential Experience Successful candidates will have the following skills and experiences:
Previous experience of Permanent Way (P-Way) design (both S&C and plain line) with a thorough working knowledge of Network Rail standards As a minimum, the successful applicant will be BTEC/HNC qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline You will have a good working knowledge of design software and drawing production such as clear route, MXRail, InRail or Bentley Rail Track You will have acted in a position of seniority as a client liaison Checking and supervising the work of less experienced team members
Personal Characteristics Relevant experience in PWay design is essential. You will have extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the design office environment. Knowledge of basic Project Management techniques and procedures, experience in managing teams whether internal or client teams is desirable.
You will lead teams of engineers and technicians working on multi-disciplinary railway projects You will be responsible for supervising work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget On certain projects you will take the role of Project Manager which includes liaising with the client and responsibility for commercial issues You will play a key part in the management and running of the department |
